Cambodia Casinos

There is an interesting story to the Cambodia gambling halls that reside just over the dividing line from neighboring Thailand, where gambling hall gaming is prohibited. Eight gambling halls are based in a relatively small area in the municipality of Poipet in Cambodia. This conclave of Cambodia gambling halls is in an excellent area, a three to four hour travel from Bangkok and Macao, the two largest betting locations in Asia. Cambodia casinos do a huge business with Thai blue-collar workers and guests from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a few Westerners. The astonishing capital accrued from the casinos ranges from seven and a half million dollars to more than twelve and a half million dollars, and there are a few limitations requirements for gambling den ownership. Ownership is required to be largely Thai; although, financing sources are ambiguous. The borders are ceremoniously open from 0900 to 17:00, and though visas are supposedly necessary to pass, there are methods around this, as is accurate of many border crossings.

The initial Cambodia gambling dens premiered in Phnom Penh in the mid nineties, but were forced to close in 1998, leaving only one casino in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a stationary bateau gambling hall, highlights one hundred and fifty one armed bandits and 60 table games. The Naga casino is open 24 hours with 42 tables of mini-baccarat, four tables of vingt-et-un, 10 of roulette, 2 of Caribbean Stud Poker, and a single table each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The original gambling hall in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, opened in 1999 and the Golden Crown before long followed. There are one hundred and fifty slots and five table games at the Golden Crown and 104 one armed bandits and 68 table games at the Holiday Palace. The newer Holiday Palace Casino and Resort highlights 300 slot machine games and 70 table games and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slot machines and 96 gaming tables, including eighty seven baccarat chemin de fer (the most dominant game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Additionally, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 slot machines and sixty six of the normal gaming tables, as well as one table of Casino Stud Poker. An additional of the 8 casinos in Poipet, again a part of a hotel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six slots and ninety seven casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is part of a multinational resort and hotel building that contains many luxuries on top of the gambling den, which houses 10,000 sq.ft. of 130 one armed bandits and 88 gaming tables.
